This Seller Legal Notice applies to all individuals and businesses (“Sellers”, “Vendors”) that list or sell products on the Alkonect marketplace operated by Alkonect Ltd (“Alkonect”, “Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By registering as a seller on the Alkonect platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Legal Notice.

1. Independent Seller Status

Sellers on Alkonect operate as independent businesses.

Alkonect:

• Does not act as the seller of record for most products listed on the platform.

• Does not manufacture, store, or own inventory listed by third-party vendors unless explicitly stated.

All products listed by sellers remain the sole responsibility of the respective vendor.

2. Seller Responsibility for Products

Sellers are fully responsible for:

• The legality of the products they sell

• Product authenticity and quality

• Accurate product descriptions

• Product safety and regulatory compliance

• Proper labeling where required

Sellers must ensure that all products comply with applicable laws and regulations in Nigeria.

3. Liability for Transactions

Transactions on the platform occur directly between the seller and the customer.

Sellers assume full responsibility for:

• Product defects

• Warranty obligations

• Consumer complaints

• Product liability claims

Alkonect shall not be liable for damages arising from products sold by third-party sellers.

4. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Sellers must comply with all applicable laws including but not limited to:

• Consumer protection regulations

• Intellectual property laws

• Product safety regulations

• Tax obligations applicable to their business

Failure to comply may result in account suspension and possible legal action.

5. Intellectual Property Responsibility

Sellers must ensure that their listings do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.

This includes:

• Trademarks

• Copyrights

• Patents

• Brand ownership rights

Sellers may be required to provide proof of authorization to sell branded products.

Listings found to violate intellectual property rights may be removed without notice.

6. Indemnification

By selling on Alkonect, sellers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alkonect Ltd from any claims, damages, losses, or legal disputes arising from:

• Products sold by the seller

• Misrepresentation of products

• Violations of applicable laws

• Intellectual property infringement

7. Platform Enforcement Rights

Alkonect reserves the right to:

• Remove product listings

• Suspend or terminate seller accounts

• Hold or reverse seller payouts

• Investigate suspicious activities

These actions may be taken if sellers violate platform policies or applicable laws.

8. Seller Verification

Alkonect may require sellers to undergo verification procedures including submission of:

• Government-issued identification

• Business registration documents

• Tax identification numbers

• Bank account verification

Failure to complete verification may restrict the seller’s ability to list or sell products.

9. Policy Violations

Violations of platform rules or this Legal Notice may result in:

• Listing removal

• Temporary suspension

• Permanent account termination

• Reporting to relevant regulatory authorities where necessary

10. Limitation of Platform Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alkonect Ltd shall not be responsible for:

• Seller misconduct

• Product defects or safety issues

• Losses resulting from seller-customer transactions

Alkonect acts solely as a technology platform facilitating marketplace transactions.

11. Governing Law

This Legal Notice shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from this notice shall be resolved through the competent courts within Nigeria.
