This Seller Policy (“Policy”) governs the relationship between Alkonect Ltd (“Alkonect”, “Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and individuals or businesses (“Seller”, “Vendor”, “you”) that sell products or services on the Alkonect marketplace.

By registering as a seller on Alkonect, you agree to comply with this Policy.


1. Seller Eligibility

To sell on the Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate personal or business information

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Nigeria

  • Possess the legal right to sell the products listed

Alkonect reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove any seller account at its discretion.


2. Seller Account Registration

Sellers must provide the following information during registration:

  • Full name or business name

  • Valid phone number and email address

  • Bank account details for payouts

  • Business registration information where applicable

  • Any additional verification documents requested by Alkonect

Sellers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.


3. Product Listings

Sellers must ensure that all product listings are:

  • Accurate and truthful

  • Clearly described

  • Properly categorized

  • Supported by genuine images

  • Priced correctly

Sellers may not list products that are:

  • Counterfeit or fake

  • Illegal under Nigerian law

  • Stolen or unauthorized goods

  • Dangerous or prohibited items

Alkonect reserves the right to remove listings that violate platform policies.


4. Pricing and Fees

Sellers are responsible for setting the price of their products.

Alkonect may charge:

  • Marketplace commission fees

  • Payment processing fees

  • Promotional or advertising fees

All applicable fees will be communicated to sellers through the Platform.


5. Order Processing

Sellers are responsible for:

  • Accepting and processing orders promptly

  • Preparing items for shipment within the promised timeframe

  • Ensuring accurate order fulfillment

Failure to fulfill orders may result in penalties, order cancellations, or account suspension.


6. Shipping and Delivery

Sellers must:

  • Package products securely

  • Ship orders within the stated delivery timeframe

  • Provide tracking information where available

Sellers are responsible for delivery issues caused by:

  • Late shipment

  • Incorrect packaging

  • Incorrect shipping details


7. Returns and Refunds

Sellers must cooperate with Alkonect’s return and refund policies.

Customers may request returns for reasons including:

  • Damaged products

  • Defective products

  • Wrong item delivered

Sellers may be responsible for refunding or replacing products where the claim is valid.


8. Seller Conduct

Sellers must maintain professional and ethical conduct.

Prohibited activities include:

  • Fraudulent transactions

  • Manipulating product reviews

  • Selling counterfeit goods

  • Misleading product descriptions

  • Contacting customers outside the platform to bypass Alkonect

Violations may lead to account suspension or permanent removal.


9. Intellectual Property

Sellers must ensure that their product listings do not violate any intellectual property rights.

This includes:

  • Copyrights

  • Trademarks

  • Patents

  • Brand ownership rights

If a listing violates intellectual property rights, Alkonect may remove the listing and suspend the seller account.


10. Platform Rights

Alkonect reserves the right to:

  • Remove product listings

  • Suspend or terminate seller accounts

  • Investigate suspicious activities

  • Hold seller payouts during disputes or fraud investigations

These actions may be taken without prior notice where necessary to protect customers or the platform.


11. Payouts

Seller earnings will be paid out according to the payout schedule provided on the Platform.

Alkonect may delay payouts if:

  • A transaction is under investigation

  • A customer dispute is unresolved

  • Fraudulent activity is suspected


12. Dispute Resolution

If disputes arise between sellers and customers, Alkonect may act as a mediator to resolve the issue.

Alkonect’s decision in marketplace disputes may be final where necessary to protect the integrity of the platform.


13. Account Suspension or Termination

Seller accounts may be suspended or terminated if:

  • Platform policies are violated

  • Fraudulent activities are detected

  • Customer complaints reach unacceptable levels

  • Sellers engage in abusive behavior toward customers or staff


14. Changes to Seller Policy

Alkonect may update this Seller Policy periodically.

Sellers will be notified of significant changes through:

  • Platform notifications

  • Email communication

  • Website announcements

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated policies.


15. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be resolved through the appropriate courts within Nigeria.
