This Return & Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled on the Alkonect marketplace platform operated by Alkonect Ltd (“Alkonect”, “Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By purchasing products through the Alkonect platform, you agree to this policy.


1. Marketplace Nature

Alkonect operates as a multi-vendor marketplace, meaning that products are sold by independent sellers (“Vendors”).

Returns and refunds may therefore involve both:

  • The Vendor, and

  • The Alkonect platform acting as a mediator when necessary.


2. Return Eligibility

Customers may request a return if the product received is:

  • Damaged or defective

  • Incorrect or different from the order

  • Missing parts or accessories

  • Significantly different from the product description

Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery unless otherwise stated on the product listing.


3. Items Not Eligible for Return

Certain items may not be eligible for return, including:

  • Perishable goods

  • Personalized or custom-made items

  • Items that have been used, worn, or damaged by the customer

  • Digital products or downloadable content

  • Hygiene-sensitive products such as cosmetics or personal care items (if opened)

Vendors may specify additional return conditions on their product pages.


4. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Log in to your Alkonect account.

  2. Go to My Orders.

  3. Select the product you want to return.

  4. Submit a Return Request with the reason and supporting evidence (photos if applicable).

Alkonect or the Vendor will review the request and provide further instructions.


5. Return Shipping

Depending on the situation:

  • If the return is due to vendor error (wrong item, defective product), the vendor may cover the return shipping cost.

  • If the return is due to customer preference, the customer may be responsible for return shipping.

Returned items must be:

  • In their original packaging

  • Unused where applicable

  • Complete with all accessories


6. Refund Process

Once a returned item is received and inspected, refunds may be processed if the return is approved.

Refunds may be issued through:

  • The original payment method, or

  • Platform wallet or credit where applicable

Refund processing times typically range from 5 to 10 business days depending on the payment provider.


7. Exchanges

Where available, customers may request an exchange instead of a refund for:

  • Different sizes

  • Replacement for defective products

  • Incorrect items

Exchange availability depends on vendor inventory.


8. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled:

  • Before the vendor ships the product, or

  • Within a short cancellation window provided on the platform.

Once an item has been shipped, the order may only be cancelled through the return process.


9. Failed Deliveries

If delivery fails due to incorrect customer information or inability to receive the package:

  • The order may be returned to the vendor.

  • Additional shipping fees may apply for re-delivery.


10. Fraud Prevention

Alkonect reserves the right to deny refund requests if:

  • Evidence of abuse or fraudulent activity is detected

  • The return request does not meet the return conditions

  • The item has been used or intentionally damaged

Repeated abusive return behavior may lead to account restrictions.


11. Vendor Responsibility

Vendors on the Alkonect platform are responsible for:

  • Ensuring product quality

  • Honoring valid return requests

  • Processing approved refunds or replacements

Failure to comply with return policies may result in penalties, delayed payouts, or removal from the platform.


12. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a customer and a vendor regarding a return or refund, Alkonect may review the case and mediate the resolution.

Alkonect may request supporting evidence from both parties before making a decision.


13. Policy Updates

Alkonect may update this Return & Refund Policy periodically.

Updated versions will be posted on the Platform with the revised effective date.
